Steve Homa
President & Architectural Designer
Steve knew as a youth that he wanted to design and build, but it was in the School of Architecture at UWM that he discovered his passion for energy-efficient and alternative building. After earning his degree in 1990, he began his own company, Deck Design and Construction. He learned carpentry by building decks and doing remodeling, then worked for a year as a project manager for a developer. Armed with all the necessary skills, he built his first “green” home in 1995 as PEA Builders, Inc. His vision and long-term commitment to sustainable construction and super energy efficiency give him a wealth of experience in this type of building which is unmatched by any other builder in SE Wisconsin.
Matthew Leonard
Vice President - Sales & Marketing
Matthew has always had a passion for architecture, but the road to PEA came in a round-about way. He has a two year degree in engineering, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. He worked as an engineer at two nuclear power plants, then moved into various sales and technology product development positions. One notable product he developed and managed was the LED and LCD order confirmation systems used at popular fast food drive thru's. Matthew joined PEA in June of 2008 to combine his experience with his first love of residential construction, and because he believes in the company’s vision and uniqueness.
Mary Homa
VP / Design Consultant
Mary has helped Steve develop and grow PEA Builders since their marriage in 1991. She keeps everything moving along by keeping a keen eye on the books, but her talents are not limited to the financial aspects of PEA. She has an Associate Degree in Interior Design, and her sense of color and style are a huge benefit to our customers looking to make material selections and color choices.
